The P/S for QCOM is a bit misleading. Licensing revenues, about 30% of total sales, has an operating margin of 90%. So one needs to adjust for the "sales" that generates that margin, which would lower the P/S ratio substantially. How to do that in an agreed upon way is the challenge.
