Ted Rall is a left-wing artoonist and commentator who regularly accuses Bush of imbecility, criminality, and war-lust.

It is indeed a threat to our citizen's rights if Ashcroft can just 'decide' that someone is a threat -- which is why I strongly support independent judicial review over all such cases. However, to listen to you, one would suppose that we had never had an organized enemy network in this country conspiring to kill Americans and destroy important American buildings, with the avowed aim of toppling America.
