If the FBI can't find this guy, how are they supposed to find people who are quietly plotting against us.

Good point. It's not an easy thing to do. But one advantage about tracking terrorists is that once you have a few of them, you start looking at their friends, associates, roommates, schoolmates, bank accounts, phone accounts, etc., and walk the cat backwards, as the spooks say.

The interstate snipers are shooting people at random over a several hundred square mile area.

They are driving a vehicle which is extremely common. I just got back from an errand that covered about 20 miles of four lane highway, and counted over 20 white vans with ladder racks on top.

There's a white Chevy Astrovan with a ladder rack on top parked right now on my very block. I am trying to call in a tip on the hotline but can't get through because millions of people are trying to do the same thing all at once.

No reason to believe it belongs to the sniper but who knows? And the $300K reward sounds good to me.
