Seeing what happened to the WTC undoubtedly firmed in European minds the policy of not sticking their hands into the Arab tar baby. That shoe bomber was originally going to attack Israel, but changed his mind and tried to destroy a US bound aircraft. Note that he didn't consider attacking Germany. -- Carl
