Because it supports the belief that OBL is dead? Maybe those kooks are playing some mind games? IMO, yes they are intentionally fooling the members of Al-Qaeda. The members swore an oath to Osama, and if they admit that God allowed him to be killed, they would lose their power over the members of Al-Qaeda. It doesn't matter to the current leaders of Al-Qaeda if they are NOT operating in harmony with the will God, they just want to keep their power. IC
