John, " The Swedes are upset at present US foreign policy rhetoric." - that may be true but we don't select the peace prize winner, the Norwegians do. Someone on C-SPAN also yelled at the Swedes for using the Prize for political purposes. We're often amused and bewildered by our neighbours choices. Carter was a good choice though. "Sign a peace treaty and you'll get one". I guess Hitler blew it by killing himself...
