HP's been in the "Exchange consulting" business for a few years. HP killed its own email product, to get closer to Microsoft. From MSFT's view, CPQ was always the favorite and HWP was "down the list". I suspect that this had something to do with the CPQ acquisition.

I wouldn't worry about Dell : When the chips are down, MSFT will go with HPQ.
