While the ADRs are the only shares traded stateside, Satyam is definitely listed on its home exchange.

No, only the parent company, Satyam Computer Services, is listed on the Bombay stock exchange. It has its own ADRS, symbol SAY on the NYSE.

Satyam Computer Services owns 35% of Satyam Infoway at present. When one says Satyam, it usually refers to Satyam Computer Services and not Satyam Infoway. The latter, which this thread is about, should be referred to as Sify.

Satyam's stake in Sify was a significant fraction of its capitalization some time in 1999. It is insignificant now.
