She does enjoy it, doesn't she, despite her disingenuous claim that she is avoiding unpleasantness. Maybe she is today, but it won't last long.

I think you're a little off on one thing, though. X doesn't give me the impression she thinks she's from a higher class of people, it's that she's gifted with great intelligence, far beyond that of normal mortals. Posting here twelve hours a day or more is merely 'entertainment', a mental dog walk.
