Neenny, given that the sniper is very likely to a) live or work in the area of the killings, b) be a member of a shooting range, c) drive a small white truck or Chevy Astro van, d) kill again in the same highly alert general area, I can't imagine he won't be caught in just a matter of days. But, then again, we here on SI also thought the October, 1999 (still unsolved) killing of those two stockbrokers would be cracked almost immediately as well. :)
