Erroneus timing of appropriate concerns.Iraq is only the poster country for what is happening all over the world as the environment is being systematically destroyed by the legions of humans [80 million per year and the equivalent of a new Houston each month]. The overwhelming majority of these new inhabitants is destined to live in poverty. This includes all the middle east even with its treasure trove of oil. The whole area is a powder keg.

In his new book,Prechter has a chapter on the timing of concerns. For example, the worry about war with Russia when we were in the Kondratieff spring, when now is the time we should worry about war. Now is the time to worry about overpopulation of the earth as that is the true cause of the environmental problem. Malthus has been ridiculed for centuries and sooner or later will be right. Now we are unconcerned with population growth when our environment cries out for it. If we are so affluent here, why do we have a rapidly growing problem with clean air and water?

All the fiat money in the world is unlikely to improve the poverty situation of the middle east and at best as seen in Malaysia e.g. it takes several decades for capitalistic reforms to work.75% of the mid east is 20 years old or less with no jobs and no prospect of such. Their radicalism is only going to worsen as we take over Iraq and still they can't be taken out of poverty.

The world is now ripe for a Big Die Off either by war, pestilence [the environment seeking revenge on humans]or famine.Truly we are witnessing the crest and crash of the tidal wave.
