No, once the metal is gone, it's gone. Lead and copper fouling can be removed but the metal that's eroded is gone.

Most barrels, I'm talking rifle barrels, can last 10,000 rounds but then they are shot so to say. A hot load like a .220 Swift may wear out a barrel in 1,000 rounds. In most rifles the biggest change comes during the first 500 rounds when they are the tightest. You can also change the markings by lengthening the throat of the chamber, shortening the barrel 1/4" or recrowning the muzzle. Laping the bore with a lead plug and valve grinding compound will also change the markings.
