The sniper is a homegrown American nutcase, motivated by things you and I will never comprehend, not the economy. Gun control won't stop him unless you confiscate every gun in the country and melt them down, and even then he'd buy one illegally.

But if you think gun control and a "sane economic policy" will stop crazy men from flipping out, more power to you. One more example of the age old adage that Democrats never met a social problem they didn't think could be fixed with more laws.
