The embassy's claims notwithstanding, it's not hard to find plenty of (careless) references to "royal" families in the UAE, sometimes referring to the ruling families of the individual emirates, or specifically to the Zayed family that has ruled the union since its inception. A simple Google search on "royal family" UAE will turn up numerous examples.

That said, it should have been easy to specify just which UAE family was meant, and therefore it becomes suspicious that they did not do this. Not that one needs a reason to be suspicious of a Hemispherx PR.
