Tunica,

But wait, there is even more to worry about!

Another interesting thing is that the bull market has caused
folks to owe more than $113 billion last month on margin debt
through brokerage accounts up from 98.9 billion in April according
to an article in the on-line WSJ today titled "Some Fear Margin
Debt is A Dangerous Sign for Stocks".

The current margin debt figure equals 1.07% of the value of all
U.S. stocks which is about $10.8 trillion give or take a Jaguar.
Reassuringly, the article reminds us that the ratio reached 1.5%
before the stock market crash of October 1897 and was above 1.15%
in early 1995.

But, the jump to the current figure of $113 billion is the
largest dollar gain for any two-month period on record. <Yowie!>

Take care, we'll all know soon. But I can't see Greenspan, IBM's earnings, or a batch of margin calls getting in the way of man's
pursuit of a good erection.

Take care out there,

Frostman
