You are kidding right? Absolutely not. Washington DC is the anti gun capital of the USA, and also probably in any given year the murder capital. Sorry, it's late and i'm too tired to really find independent stats so from the NRA's website(no i'm not a member) "Maryland has imposed a waiting period and a gun purchase limit, banned several small handguns, restricted "assault weapons," and regulated private transfers of firearms even between family members and friends, yet its homicide rate is 46% higher than the rate for the rest of the country."
