That's an interesting statistic. Did you do the polls yourself?
Pakistani people seem to hate their homegrown dictator as well. I don't see the US trying to oust the guy. In fact, I see the US supporting the guy, because he has apparently succeeded in convincing them that the alternative is hardline religious fanatics.


Pakistan is another sick country. It will be a major problem once Musharaff is overthrown. Notice, I use the term overthrown. Do you see the relationship?

My problem is more with the thousands of civilians that will die in the war, the repurcussions in the region, the resulting strengthening of religious fundamentalist ideas, etc.

More innocents will die if we do not get involved. It will be impossible to slow down Islamist fundamentalism regardless of what we do. This is true because it is taught to children, instead of reading, writing, and arithmetic. Have you seen the literacy rates in these countries? Completely pathetic. The only education people get is religious and political indoctrination. You cannot sustain a culture on such a diet.
