Karen, I think it's too far a stretch to say that countries (like Germany) which are opposed to war on Iraq are opposed to the war on terrorism.

Germany and France and many of the countries in the Middle East have joined forces with the US on the war on terrorism, but they are sovereign nations constrained by their own laws and their own interests. Germany, in particular, is doing an excellent job fighting terrorists. If we knew everything, I believe we are getting support even from countries in the Middle East that don't want it to be publicly known. A large number of terrorists have been extradited to the US from countries which prefer to remain anonymous.

The represensible attacks in Indonesia demonstrate the global reach of terrorism, and should make us all strive to focus on where we agree, and pull us together, not apart.
