But I've heard this rationale from many on the far left about 15 out of 19 hijackers being Saudis, so why don't we invade Saudi Arabia. My point was that that is equivalent to me saying if you joined al Qaeda, should we bomb the UK.

It's really a non sequitur and is usually repeated as pro-Iraq propaganda.
