Mike: Your reasoning sounds pretty good. All the RBOC's and GTE are coming in with good reports--BLS yesterday and BEL today--so guess that's why GTE is up to 47 again and that BW article didn't hurt I'm sure. Also, the merger news of BEL/NYN probably gets the investors to looking for the next candidate--maybe GTE? :)
