For what it's worth, my money is on those who will use the incident as a justification for the continuation of their "war against terrorism" however and wherever they choose to make it.
Accordingly, it doesn't really matter who did it, or why, because Messrs Bush, Sharon & Co will see to it that they, and they alone, will benefit politically, tactically, strategically, morally and financially.
Only a matter of time before Indonesia and Australia fall in line behind the Crusade against Evil. And, if France continues to be obstructive at the Security Council, it will get another nasty surprise.
I am amazed that people still take the Al Jazeera broadcasts seriously as being representative of pro-Arab/anti-West opinion. Al Jazeera was formerly the BBC relay station to the Mid East. The station is situated in Qatar, on the Persian Gulf, which is a US surrogate but which pretends to be a "free" Arab country. Apparently, Al Jazeera was and is the only TV station which is in contact with Al Qaeda because it, uniquely, transmits all bin Laden's tapes and other info.
