Again, Iraq has not been hostile in the past ten years and it is strange to assume that "we" now have to be involved.

No? It's broken all its armistice agreements, pursued WMDs, proclaimed its victory in the Gulf War and its open emnity to the US, hopped on the Islamist train, trained Islamist terrorists, poured gasoline on the Israeli/Pal conflict, worked tirelessly (and successfully) to destroy the sanctions regime, attempted to kill Bush 41, and did I mention that they may have nukes any day now?

If this is "not hostile" G-d spare us from real enemies. Seriously, what do you think the situation in the Gulf will be like once Saddam has nukes?
