I ordered carpeting through your Boise Idaho office while preparing my house for sale. I specifically asked if the carpet I wanted was in stock since I was short on time to which the salesman assured me he had a roll to do my house. I ordered $3200 of carpet and vinyl and the nightmare began. It turned out they didnt have enough carpet to do my house and had to order it from Georgia so there was a two week wait.
They then installed most of the carpet in my house before realizing the colors didn't match and had to stop to re-order it. Then rather than look at the OBVIOUS color mismatch and order the carpet, they called in an independent inspector to verify that yes, the colors didn't match. This added another two weeks while waiting for his report. Now I am sitting here being told my carpet should arrive next week sometime. This will be almost 2 months to the day that I have been waiting to get carpet installed.
In the mean time, I have had my house up for sale with people just turning around and leaving when they see the half installed carpet. I was supposed to leave for my next job in Mid June but have had to stick around here waiting for the carpet to be installed. This is absolutely unacceptable.
I have talked to your national customer service who kicked Boise into action for a few days then everything went back to ignore again. I have talked to the Boise store multiple times with the assistant manager assuring me he was now working this personally and would call me back with some sort of compensation to try and make this situation better and expedite my order then never called back.
I wish I could get a gang short going on your stock and push you under but know it can't be done with your efficient ponzai scheme. I will be shorting your stock though since with service like this, it is just a matter of time until your earnings get hit.
I am totally fed up with your total lack of service and I can only hope you send a copy of this to your investor relations and more importantly to your new CEO!!!!
I have lost out on the sale of my home to at least 10 potential buyers, have had to delay my move to California for almost 2 months and have suffered major heart burn over your lack of "service". I can't believe a national chain that attempts to put forward such a good customer service image has behaved like this. Is anyone home at Home Depot?
I would appreciate any kind of contact you might be able to fit into your convenient schedule.

Comments:
I had a major issue on a botched carpet installation that cost me the sale of my home in Idaho. I have written you numerous times and then get referred to the Boise Idaho store manager that promises to make amends then never follows through.
I have now moved to California but am still not a happy customer. The carpet was replaced 3 months after my initial "Rush" order but by then there were an additional 300 homes for sale in my area and I was unable to sell it and am now having to rent a house with brand new carpet to be destroyed I am sure.
Mr. Johnston, the manager at the Boise store has been absolutely no help what so ever and I am one pissed off customer. Thank goodness we have a LOWES here in California so I don't have to do business with the local Home Depot anymore and have also profited from shorting your stock which I hope drops to zero. ( I promised you guys that I would )
I am making a last ditch effort for you to make right before I seek legal council. I was promised a carpet install within two weeks and instead it took months, it has cost me the sale of my home, major heartburn and headaches and now I am a landlord from over 1000 miles away.
When I posted my dealings with you on my website, I found there were at least 5 other people that had the same thing happen to them. Apparently this is a Home Depot trend developing and I am sure your new CEO will appreciate it when I call into the next shareholder's meeting and I inform him of some really pissed off investors in front of all the market analysts.
Are you guys going to fix this problem??????

Today's mail from me.......
Considering that I still haven't heard from you, I take it you have decided to blow me off again. I will be going out of my way to ensure as few of my contacts as possible ever do business with you even if I have to pay the difference between a sale at your store and Lowes. Your company has really pissed me off for the last time!
I can't wait for your earnings conference call. I am salivating. I hope you have good call screening as I am looking forward to giving the analysts a lead to follow.

I have never been so angry with a company including my dealings with S which is now finally cratering. I hope Lowes eat HD's lunch and they go bankrupt. -NG-
I am going to start digging into HD's filings and if I so much find a decimal point in the wrong place, I will send the SEC e-mail every hour until they do something. This is now War and I plan on using Nukes!
I am also dead serious about trying to get a word in at their conference call and see if I can get some analysts digging as well.
If anyone else has had problems like this, please let me know, I want to have some serious numbers when I call.
