OOOOh, I'm going to regret this.

I researched XP VS ME last year. I found the following information at that time. I think the basic points are still valid.

XP is designed for business use. It is designed to use new technology and stop supporting a lot of old technology and non business applications. That would reduce the OS size and increase it's stability. For that reason, a lot of old equipment does not have XP drivers and never will. If you have a lot of old scaners, and printers you want to run, Win ME is the OS to use.

ME is designed for home and recreational use. XP is designed for business use.
