It seems to work in other parts of the world (e.g. Europe) where they have a much lower homicide rate than here. I'm not saying I'm in favor of gun control, but a high crime city in the U.K. (e.g. Newcastle) has a LOWER homicide rate than a low crime city here. It's just easier to kill someone with a gun than most other things.
