5. With 1X scheduled for launch next year, when is Unicom going to switch to all 1X handsets. wonder what percentage of handsets sold today, if any, are 1X for capacity even if they are not data ready.

Are they already selling 1x handsets in China?

One bonus for Qualcomm is going to be the increased chipset revenue when China goes to 1x. Even if sub growth stays the same sequentially (say at 3 million), 1x chipsets probably carry at least a $10 higher ASP. An increase in chipset ASP on top of the record number of units is going to be a nice one-two punch.

Actually, I think I remember somebody calculating that 1x chipsets carried a $20 higher ARPU.....but SI's search engine cant find it.
