I don't know what you mean by jailbirds... I don't live in the US. The weekend lull is easy to understand: the Israeli hitwomen have a nine-to-five cover, that is, they live in an all-American suburb, surrounded by clueless neighbors (and possibly family). So, every weekend (ie Saturday and Sunday), they quietly stay at home... organize a garage sale, throw a barbecue party with their neighbors... go fishin'... Get the picture?
