What a holy grail that is. Chipsets and royalties for handsets on GSM networks, sold by GSM carriers.

I dont know if China Mobile would be interested.....but Vodafone definitely should be.

Anyone want to take a stab at the worldwide global roaming market? Vodafone and Telefonica would seem to be the best candidates to start selling these handsets from day one. I would think that countries with extensive business ties to Korea and Japan would also be on the list (Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan?).

Could this chipset add a couple of million units to chipset sales? I am thinking of the market outside of any possible GSM 1x deployments.
