Maybe this is a prime example of manipulation and setting up the next fall. Some say it is the PPT (Plunge Protection Team) that prevents the market from falling. I can only guess that the Power Players had taken massive call positions and wanted the market to go up. The put/call ratio had declined a lot the last week. The "spin" by reporters will be pretty interesting. Who knows anymore?
