Ditching a stolen car would give the police a lot more evidence than they have today. This guy is obviously doing it right as they have noting but fragmented lead to go on.


Eric, remember, if these guys really do own this van, it only takes one really good eyewitness account to nail them. If they use a stolen vehicle, even if someone takes a photo of the car that can be enlarged to show the VIN number, unless they were stupid enough to leave prints in it (assuming their prints were even on file), there is only a chance they'd be caught. To put it another way, when police find an abandoned stolen car, how often do they track down who took it? Not often at all.
