Mucho, RE: for criminologists, it's self-evident that many lives could be saved by outlawing guns. It's not self evident at all. In fact, it is a source of constant debate among criminologists. In fact, once you attempt to strip away the political issues and focus only on important things like saving lives, there is a point to be made by both sides.
