(this may be a naive question, but) looking at individual % losses, which are enormous........however, the QQQs are nowhere near individual stocks % losses (-2.76 vs. in most cases, 4-10%)

Don't those TOP 50 make up a greater than 50% representation of the QQQ?

I know the QQQ is a synthetic deal-y, but isn't the % discrepancy weird, or ....I'm sure there is a logical answer..

Would you expect QQQs to quickly "catch up" during morning if individual stocks remain down so much?
