That was a pretty quick reply. Why the concern? I think the shorts have a good 6 -12 months to cover before a whiff of *really* good news might arrive. (such as a licensee for the materials; I don't expect any licensees for the polymer technology per se, at least not anyone who will be producing in any kind of volume within the next few years)

In re the financing terms, if VLNC didn't have Berg, I don't think they would get any financing at all, other than the truly floorless kind. You paint Berg's as 'floorless,' but that's a misapplication of the common perception of the term, since the loan sharks who perpetrate the *truly* 'floorless' variety of financing front-run by shorting, then converting, then covering and manipulating the price back up, then reshorting, etc until the equity is at zero. Berg is simply reaping what he deserves for being willing to pony up with the cash. VLNC has fallen less than most other tech equities, especially in the last year, so Berg is not really taking advantage of their situation. Actually, I think you would agree that he is being generous, given the performance.

So quit trying so hard! Anyone who's still short should just cover. And if you're posting because of an ancient grudge, well, remember what they say... about how things change... don't forget to change along with them...

Best of luck to you.
