Here's a link to an article proposing that perhaps the shooter is using a handgun. It includes a picture of a scoped .223 "Thompson Contender" handgun, which is about 18 inches long, and reputably very accurate. Not likely to be the weapon; they're not common, but it would make it easier to conceal in the car during a quick police stop. You could fit it under the seat. cnsnews.com I've never seen this CNS news site before. It looks like they are funded by the conservative Media Research Center. I don't like those guys.
