The point of all this is his holiness says defending ourselves is wrong but doesn't offer an alternative. I humbly suggest that without an alternative we can only do nothing which IMHO would be counter productive. As far as Bush going around the world etc. Well that IS an alternative that could be debated. I would hate to wait two decades for the attacks to stop. IMHO American foreign policy needs a major overhaul first. But even with such an overhaul we need a military to deal with those who use violence against civilian populations to gain their ends. But perhaps some one aught to suggest this to Bush. I doubt that he is the man for the job myself BWTFDIK. BTW just to set the record straight I believe the nuclear bombing of civilian populations during WW 11 dims anything done by terrorists today to insignificance...And we all know who was responsible for that !
