Also, NO ONE asked about that Disk Drive fire sale loss being excluded, while the revenues from same were included.

Oral Roberts and I were discussing this very point. I think that IBM will get sold when the earnings are dissected a bit. I am very tempted to short a tad in AH.

And I think that any strength in IBM can be credited to stealing it from EDS and other competitors and *not* due to sector strength.

What is more telling is when the two headcheeses in the chip sector both look like crap. AMD worse by .07 at -.74 per share and INTC misses by .03??!! Even if AMD guided higher for next Q, they are still looking for -.56 per share.

That says that there is an underlying weakness that is pervasive and can't be masked by market share being taken from competitors.
