Victor, you are mistaken. We all struggle with Time Famine. If you slow down and read more than the first two sentences of 62041: <<OT You are right. Instead of concluding that I <<have an incredibly simplistic and homogenous view of Islam and its historic twists and turns, and the people who follow it.>> if you have time and interest, read a couple of my earlier posts and you can gain insights into: a) why there is confusion, disagreement and so much passion about this topic (# 61982) b) why the Qur'an is both a sacred book, and also a dangerous book--how it has contradictory messages that can be taken out of context by desperate people and be misused to justify atrocities (#61982 also). c) the psychology of evil--why people will sacrifice their lives to become heroes, taking common hatred and adding in "divinely-inspired" teachings about martyrdom for God producing tragedies like 9/11 (#62001).
