SLOUGH, England, Oct. 17 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Celltech Group plc (NYSE: CLL - News; LSE: CCH - News) is today holding a Research & Development update for analysts and investors at its premises in Slough, hosted by Dr Melanie Lee, Research and Development Director. A series of presentations will be given by management and senior scientists, focusing on all major aspects of the Group's discovery and development activities.
Topics include Celltech's extensive portfolio of antibody and small molecule research programmes and its state-of-the-art technology platforms, in addition to an update on specific agents in late-stage development. In particular, Celltech will present additional analysis of data from its Phase II study with CDP 870 in Crohn's disease. The new data demonstrated that, using a commonly-measured inflammation marker as a predictor of response to treatment, CDP 870 achieves highly clinically and statistically significant responses and remission rates in Crohn's disease patients with active inflammation.
