Have alqaeda become the bogeymen of the 21st Century. In spite of US best efforts to eradicate them, they are still seemingly plentiful, ubiquitous and responsible for every terrorist act on the planet from Bali to the Philippines to (some believe) the DC shootings. chron.com "Philippine officials have linked the Abu Sayyaf to al-Qaida, citing alleged attempts by Osama bin Laden's lieutenants to provide the guerrillas with training on explosives and weapons handling in past years.
