they [Tandem] were actually on the HP campus between the customer center and the research buildings Both have office complexes on Pruneridge Ave, Cupertino. On the HP side, it used to be mainly loads of marketing and similar "division" folks. "Research" in the classic sense happened at HP Labs in Palo Alto (and Bristol, UK). cheers, kumar@nostalgia.pov
