Returned to no connection Monday
Here temporarily and out of touch, but should return next week. May be on a much lighter scale anyway, as I have to tend to real life business.
Dow did a 1000 pt move in August and gave it all back and some.
We came off what may have been THE bottom, so I don't expect to give it all back this time. The markets don't move straight up and war/terrorism/debt/economy/housing/consumer spending can still move the markets down dramatically. 7200 came too fast as well.
I will remain as one of the few, if there are others, on record for actually calling the 7200 bottom, as opposed to Merrill Lynch's 20/20 hindsight call.
Yes, had I been here, would have recommended closing shorts Monday when 7800 never gave in.
I do still have email address at scott_on_stocks@yahoo.com
Any information on this is welcome

CSFB layoffs just another indicator of industry outlook
Still a long was to go down for all of them.
DOW now 7374 and not finding any support.
Reevaluating remaining strength of any bounces today.
I don't see DOW dropping below 7200 intermediate term and may possibly be called "the bottom."
Watching it all for now.
GS 59.14 x 15 now. More on downside, but still due for bounce. No target until bootom is seen
