Perhaps I'm biased, but ever since Nixon I've the GOP has appeared to be the much more corrupt of the two major parties. But with the occasional revelation of "Texas Suicides" in LBJ's early days, it really isn't a partisan thing. The battle is between secrecy behind the Beltway, and the interests of the American people. It also reflects a hatred towards our own country You're confused. This is the best country on the planet, and can be the best in history. IF the self-aggrandizing war profiteers are removed from political influence, and all public gov't information is fully disclosed. Which it will be eventually. Meanwhile we'll have to weed through endless propaganda on the reasons for taxes, war, etc etc., referred to in my previous post on the M.E. analysis of oil and geopolitical power politics. Those who allow concealment of the public's information on what our gov't leaders have been up to for the past 20 years are either naive, or are the real haters of this country and the American way. The path to dictatorship is through secrecy, since the responsibilities of power of this country is too great for any one man. Currently, we have a trend towards such secrecy.
