Disposable Cell Phones Featured at CTIA Expo
GARDEN GROVE, Calif., Oct. 17 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Hop-On (OTC: HPON), the leading developer of disposable and fully recyclable cell phones, today announced that its CDMA disposable cell phones are being featured at the CTIA Wireless IT and Internet Expo (http://www.ctia.org). The trade show, which runs from October 17th to the 18th at the Sands Expo and Convention Center in Las Vegas, features the world's leading companies and innovations. The Company indicated that in addition to showcasing its disposable cell phone, it would be discussing rollout plans with potential partners, including domestic and international carriers.
Hop-On can be located at the Holley Communications booth. Holley Communications is a wholly owned subsidiary of China's largest utility meter manufacturer, Holley Group Co. Ltd. The company diversified into cell phones in 2001 with the acquisition of the CDMA handset design team, the software development team, infrastructure, and the CDMA software protocol stack developed by Philips Semiconductors Inc., a division of Royal Philips Electronics (AEX: PHI, NYSE: PHG). In addition, Phillips Semiconductors transferred equipment, assets and intellectual property contained in handset reference designs.
