David Ray's statement is sad and unfortunately, but it is also the truth, and it is not exclusive to America, either. Being the only superpower, America is fast becoming a convenient scapegoat for all of the world's problems. Personal responsibility is thrown out the window, because it's easier to blame someone else for your own problems.

Ten, I am sure some of that is true. The US gets blamed simply because we are big and rich. However, have you noticed that there are some sports and hollywood stars who complain they never get any respect, and then there are guys like Michael Jordan or Tom Hanks who rarely get dissed.

Everyone takes some shit but the more shit you put out, the more you are likely to get back. So when you see all the criticism we get in the world, at least some of that has to do with what we put out. I can't tell you how many times I've heard foreigners say.......I like Americans but I hate their gov't. Well, may be the people need to pull in the reigns on the gov't so that its behavior more reflects the wishes of the American public.

The hypocrites who blame America for everything really ought to get a clue.

Maybe its the hypocrites who don't see their gov't's faults who are the ones that ought to get a clue.
