Why do you suppose North Korea admitted it? Out of anger or some other reason?

Because they believe they're next, and by saying they have a nuke they effectively cut us off at the knees. Precisely what Saddam Hussein will do should we allow him to get nukes.

1) If this doesn't convey to liberals why we must shut Saddam down NOW, I don't know what would. It should also provide some indication of the kind of trouble you can get into trying to negotiate with the dishonest leadership of other nations (e.g., Iraq). They understand one thing.

2) Perhaps now would be a good time for Carter to offer back his prize.

There is a lesson in here for those who believe pacifism is a solution to these kinds of problems.
