I want to donate money to the NRA Institute for Legislative Action (NRA-ILA), but the campaign finance reform law prevents the NRA-ILA from deploying my money effectively. That's an abridgement of my First Amendment rights, and I don't like it one bit.
The liberal news media, as you well know, is virtually every outlet except those you listed. Their influence is waning, it's true, thanks to the coverage of Fox and others.
PBS has three good shows. You listed two of them and the other is a Canadian show called the Red Green show. If you haven't seen it, you are in for a treat. Think creative ways to use duck tape, double it, square that, and you have some idea of Red Green's theme. For example, he once demonstrated how to make a Gull Wing Delorean out of a Camaro with duck tape.
I quit listening to PBS radio, because shows like "All Things Considered" could be depended on to detail only issues that are outside the mainstream, like gay rights, welfare junkies and so forth. Their coverage during the Clinton debacle was disgusting, always giving the benefit of a doubt but never condemning his behavior. They refer to Iraqi President Saddam and Lybian Leader Qaddafi, but aren't so generous with their use of titles when referring to a Republican president.
If PBS ever went back to books on tape I would probably start listening and supporting them again. |
