Hi Jochen - I would be interested to read that WSJ article whose link you have posted, but I am not subscribed to WSJ. Is there a way you can post the article itself? I agree with you re Germany's fears of its Turkish minority, although the Turks in question are not entirely without blame, imho, re their inability to adapt to the country in which they live. Admittedly, this is not easy, if you have come straight from an eastern village to Berlin, without ever seeing a city even in Turkey. By the way, I adore doner. Unfortunately, the doner here on the Cote d'Azur is a white and greasy mixture of turkey and chicken, unlike the lump of meat it is supposed to be. Regards.
