Seriously, they are claiming that they will sell a lot more chips this quarter than last, and they see business picking up in general. On the other hand, INTC was very down beat

Possibilities

1 - AMD is blowing hot air.

2 - Intel is being conservative (maybe both 1 and 2)

3 - Intel stuffedthe channel and so expects lower demand next Q.

4 - (perhaps least likely but the best for AMD) Both Intel and AMD think AMD will be in a better competitive position in the next Q.

5 - AMD anticipates getting or has gotten a big order from one of the box makers.

Any other ideas?
