"It's as if the preferred debating tactics for the GOP are yelling, insults, fear of death, and pornography"

I feel that the GOP generally argue facts and reason. The demos will go counter to their argument just for the sake of being against the GOP. The Iraq case is a perfect example. Clinton calls for a regime change with support of congress in 1998, and now many are against it. Party is more important than country to them. It helps that I agree with the GOP most of the time. Their focus on protecting Americans is right where it should be.

As far as ruining the rule of law, I think if you look at Clinton's stonewalling behavior, the attempted election theft by algore and the recent Toricelli switch you will get better examples than from the GOP. Your watershed moment was Nixon (I was only about 11), mine was the Florida elections. That is where I learned that liberal judges acttualy do think THEY are the ones to write the laws. And that most dems are fine with that. Despicable imo.

As far as open records go, I don't really care about that. If there is evidence of a crime, and opening something might shed light on it that is one thing. The dems want to open records to FIND evidence to hurt the President. It's a witch hunt imo.
