Thanks Nemer, Shootie and Eric for insights on guns, scopes and strategies. Apparently the consensus is that this guy is using a scope since at least two of his shots were 150-200 yards. This would seem to rule out my idea that he shoots from the passenger seat. So maybe he sits by a sliding side door with a scoped long gun on a rest. The driver spots for him and when a target appears, shooter opens the side door and shoots. The driver immediately hits the gas and they are gone. Shooter puts the rifle and scope in a case and sticks it in a Weatherguard wheelwell mounted tool cabinet that has a locking door. He gets back in the passenger seat. By the time anyone calls 911, they are a mile away. They listen on a police scanner for police responses. By the time the police reach the scene of the shooting, the shooters are back at home with the van parked inside a garage or maybe a commercial building.
